  • The first question to ask yourself is, do you plan your meals properly? If you can do proper meal planning then you are almost halfway there to getting that stomach fat under control. With proper meal planning comes healthy eating. If you eat healthily and your stomach is kept full, you are less likely to be sucked in by temptations that will leave you resorting to eating junk food.

Healthy meals will supply your body with the right nutrients and energy for optimal functioning, and best of all they will also detoxify your body by getting rid of all the waste deposits that were left by junk foods. As soon as your body is detoxified, your metabolism will increase. This means that your body will burn more fat.

  • The other equally important factor is cardio. Do not get me wrong, it is possible to lose weight just with a good diet and healthy eating. But this process is slow. If you are like me, you will want your tummy flat as fast as possible.

This is where cardio comes in. Cardio will accelerate your fat burning rate and it can allow you to lose weight in a space of a week. Yes it is possible! Say you burn 500 calories a day, that will allow you to lose at least one pound a week.

The good thing is that anyone can do cardio. Cardio involves activities that get your heart rate to go faster like brisk walking, running, cycling, dancing and the like. Choose whatever activity you like doing and get moving.

  • The third part of the puzzle is working on your stomach. Your stomach or abdomen, consists of three types of muscles. These are your upper abs, lower abs and side abs. Do crunches that will target each of those areas and you will see results. You do not have to do 100 to see results. Be careful not to strain your back when doing these crunches.

Doing these 3 steps will see you ahead of a lot of people. It is important to have the first step in place because that will set the tone of success or failure in your life. You need all these three steps to maximize your success. Eating healthy and exercising will not only benefit your stomach, it will benefit the rest of your body. It is well worth it.
