<p>I wanted to share a pretty unique article with you today from my trusted colleague and Nutrition Specialist Mike Geary.</p>
<p>You probably thought you already knew everything you needed to know about trans fats, but this article may surprise you&#8230;</p>
<p>A type of Trans Fat that makes you leaner?</p>

<p>We all know that trans fats are horrible for your health right?  But what if I told you that there is a specific type of trans fat that&#8217;s natural (not man-made) and actually helps you to lose fat faster and build lean muscle?</p>
<p>Well, check out the excerpt from my new program that I co-authored called <a href="http://livelife09.mikegeary1.hop.clickbank.net/?pid=240">&#8220;The Fat Burning Kitchen&#8221;</a> below:</p>
<p>&#8220;&#8230;Not many people know this fact, but CLA is actually a natural form of trans fat, but it is FAR different than the artificial trans fats from hydrogenated oils that are so deadly and that you hear all of the negative information about. CLA is actually one of the only healthy trans fats in existence.</p>
<p>CLA is a natural form of healthy trans fat that occurs in the fat on the meat, and in the dairy from ruminant animals such as cattle, bison, deer, goats, sheep, kangaroo, etc.  CLA in natural form has been shown to help in burning off abdominal fat and also maintaining or even building lean muscle.</p>
<p>Warning: do NOT use CLA supplements as they contain an artificially created form of CLA that is a different CLA isomer compared to the natural CLA isomer that&#8217;s found in meats and dairy from ruminant animals. The CLA isomer found in CLA supplements can have negative effects in the body and is more similar to an artificial trans fat. The only form of CLA is that going to benefit your health and help you to reduce body fat is the natural CLA isomers from grass-fed beef, bison, venison, etc or from grass-fed raw milk or cheeses.</p>
<p>Also, grass-fed meats and dairy contain 3-5x the CLA of grain fed meats, so avoid your typical grain-fed grocery store meats.</p>
<p>So that is the reason why I focused more on red meats such as grass-fed beef and bison during this 23-day cutting cycle instead of chicken, turkey, or fish &#8212; because the extra CLA can really help in accelerating fat loss and preserving lean muscle&#8230;&#8221;</p>
<p>There you have it&#8230; there actually IS such a thing as a healthy trans fat&#8230; bet you didn&#8217;t know that!</p>

<p>You&#8217;ve been struggling with your weight and you&#8217;re looking for the right weight loss nutrition program, but with all kinds of different diets it&#8217;s hard to know what foods you can eat and what to avoid. There are questions, like: whether carbohydrates are good or bad, whether it&#8217;s better to avoid fat or only avoid trans fat, and which vegetables are ideal for healthy eating? All of these things factor into what you should eat. Your best bet is to follow the weight loss food pyramid – it can answer all your questions about healthy eating.</p>
<p>Fruits and vegetables are the most important things for a healthy diet and weight loss. Fruits are the way to go when you&#8217;re craving something sweet, since they contain natural sugars and vitamins that make them healthier than sweet junk foods. A healthy amount of calories comes from fruits as well, and your body needs calories to function. Fruit also contains fiber that works with proteins by helping to break them down and it also keeps you feeling full. So, when you want to eat less, grab some fruit. Vegetables and fruits both are full of fiber, but vegetables tend not to have the extra calories and sugars that fruit has.</p>
<p>To boost your metabolism and maintain muscles like your heart and lungs, you should consume a good amount of meat, poultry, and fish. Meat contains a lot of protein, which is important for your body, but some meats can also contain a lot of fats. Ideally, you should eat fish because it&#8217;s low in fat and calories and still has a high amount of protein. If you’re not into fish, poultry and lean cut meat is the next best thing for your weight loss nutrition program.</p>
<p>Carbohydrates have gotten a bad rap because of recent boom diets, but the fact of the matter is your body needs them. Grains like bread and pasta can be broken down and stored as fat when you eat too much of them but they&#8217;re good for keeping high energy throughout the day when you eat just a serving a day. Completely cutting carbohydrates out of your diet can lead to rapid weight gain if you ever decide to start eating them again.</p>
<p>Since the health of your bones is an important part of how you function, milk products should be a part of your diet. Cheeses and creams can be high in fat, so you should be cautious when shopping for those specifically. Labels that say “low fat” just mean they&#8217;re lower in fat than normal – they may still be chock full of the stuff. Try skim milk instead. It’s a great source of calcium without the high amounts of fat and calories.</p>
<p>You should keep in mind that eating is a natural thing and refraining from eating is a bad idea, even if you&#8217;re just skipping out on one meal a day. Your body needs these foods and nutrients, so don&#8217;t skimp out on them. With this list of good foods, you should be able to make a weight loss nutrition program without feeling like you&#8217;re starving yourself.</p>

<p>Losing weight for the sake of looking good is not good enough, managing one’s weight should also be about healthy living. With this in mind, you will then choose to manage your weight without endangering your body. As you probably already know, not managing your weight can lead to health problems including Type 2 Diabetes and osteoarthritis to name just a few</p>
<p>I remember when I wanted to lose weight so bad that I was starving myself. Yes I did lose the weight but I was tired and run down and had no energy to get through the day. Needless to say, because I was tired and hungry, I gained all that weight back when I started eating again. So the lesson here is don’t compromise your body just to lose weight, lose weight because you are eating healthily are taking care of your body. It’s the only way to achieve long term weight loss</p>
<p>Because our lives are constantly on the move, it can be difficult to control our eating habits and it can make it easy to reach for unhealthy snacks. It is important to keep an eye on what you are nibbling on throughout the day, the kilojoules do add up with all those other things that you nibbled on during the day that you thought were small.</p>
<p>Try to make the best food choices you can make, especially when you are on the go. For example : choose a whole-wheat sandwich with a salad and replace that fizzy drink with water instead of having a burger, chips and a fizzy drink. Having the burger is putting in approximately 5,900 kJ in your body as opposed to approximately 1,750 kJ had you opted for the whole-wheat sandwich.</p>
<p>Another important factor to remember is to substitute your snacks for fruit. For an example, opting to eat an apple instead of eating a packet of chips is a healthy alternative. The apple only has approximately 340kJ as compared to the packet of chips that has 805kJ.</p>
<p>This may seem trivial at first but as you become aware of the food choices you make, it not only becomes easier, it becomes a part of your lifestyle. Your body reaps all the benefits and when it does you will start to feel great. One last thing, limit your snacks to no more than 3 times a day</p>
