25 Mar

Today we are looking at fat burning foods for abs that every kitchen cabinet should have for someone who wants to have a flat stomach. In the past we have looked at fat burning foods for abs that should be every fridge as well as fat burning foods for abs that should be in every freezer.

The food we eat is extremely important in getting those sexy abs that we all want to have, exercise alone is just not going to cut it.

So next time you go grocery shopping, be on the lookout for these foods:

  • Chocolate - yes chocolate! I had to start with my favorites things that I love. The trick with buying chocolate is that it has to be as dark as it possibly can be, in the range of 70 – 75% cocoa content. The good thing is that it is packed with antioxidants, but on the other side, it still has high calories. Therefore, eating chocolate should not be overdone, and it should just be for when you seriously have those cravings.
  • Black or kidney beans cans – it may be surprising for many of you when I tell you that these are packed with antioxidants, actually more antioxidants than hose contained in blueberries? Now you can see why I love them. They also have a high fiber content which is important in keeping one regular
  • Teas that are rich in antioxidants – I have always preferred tea as compared to coffee, and the teas that I love are green tea, oolong tea and rooibos tea
  • Oat bran and oats – these are a great source of fiber. Stay away from the pre-packaged packets of oats as they are loaded with sugar and focus on steel cut oats.
  • Brown rice and brown pasta – I have since stopped buying white rice or pasta, and so should you
  • Tomato sauce – Yes I know what you are thinking! And I am here to tell you that not all tomato sauce is bad. It is full of lycopene, you need to buy tomato sauce that is made from olive oil, not soybean oil. Also, make sure that the brand you buy is the one that does not have high fructose corn syrup. And lastly, get tomato sauce that is packaged in glass or plastic and not tin.
  • Stevia – this is a good sweetener with little to no calories
  • Raw honey – not processed honey. Honey has nutritional value as compared to sugar and a teaspoon only has 5g of carbs. No harm done with enjoying it with some tea

These are just some of the foods that I have in my kitchen cabinet, fat burning foods for belly.

Go through your cabinet and have a look at the foods that you have, and have a go at getting more healthier.

Foods that are low in calories can have amazing benefits for the body. Most have a high level of fiber, which is great for weight loss because fiber leaves you feeling fuller for longer, and so you are less likely to overeat.

Most of these foods have a high water content, which is beneficial for ones health and the skin.

Another great component with most of these foods is that they are a great source of protein, which is great for muscle building and burning fat.

Low calorie foods are great for weight loss, but they should be mixed with foods that have a high calorie content, so that the body body does not get used to just eating low calorie foods, as this will slow down the metabolism. Just remember to control your portion sizes when you consume high calorie foods.

Top 7 Foods That Burn Calories

12 Sep

YummyHi there,

If you are like me, you will embrace any method that you can use to ensure you burn calories without exercising or going to the gym. Exercise is great and I love doing it, but I definitely will say yes to any help I can get to ensure my body burns the calories that I want it to. Here are the top foods that you want to have included in your diet:

1. Fruits. We know fruits are good for our bodies but we are talking about fruit that are rich in vitamin C. The vitamin C helps in releasing the fat from the body, thereby helping with calorie burning. The fruits include Apples, Water melon, Oranges, strawberry, lemons and Grapefruit

2. Vegetables. These vegetables also contain vitamin C and they work pretty the same way that the fruits work. These include cucumber, Carrots, Tomatoes, Chilies, Broccoli, Cabbage and Celery

3. Green tea. It increases your metabolism and burns calories.

4. Dairy products like cheese and milk. Dairy products contain calcium and protein. The calcium and protein that comes from low fat products help with weight loss.

5. Foods that are high in fiber. These include whole grain food like whole grain pasta or bread. The body works harder to burn fiber in your body. The harder it works the more calories it will burn.

6. Lean meats. Chicken, turkey, sirloin are rich in iron. Iron forms hemoglobin in your body and it carries the oxygen in your red blood cells. Without the optimal amount of oxygen in the body, which means less hemoglobin, your energy levels will drop and so will your metabolism. A drop in metabolism means lower calories burned.
7. Garlic. Yes I know what you are thinking, it may leave your mouth smelling and undesirable but not only does garlic have healing advantages, it boosts your metabolism.

I bet most of these foods are in your kitchen cupboards right now, and what will be left for you to do is to include them as part of your daily nutrition. These foods are great also if used as snack, as opposed to the candy and chips.

Malnutrition is not to be taken lightly, so strife to have a balanced healthy meal at all times. These foods can be a great help if included in your nutrition but the best way to help them work their magic is to include an exercise plan in your daily life. Exercise still remains the best calorie burning thing that you can do.
